What is Kling AI, and what is Kling 3.0?

Kling AI is the video generation model from Kuaishou, the company behind the Kwai short-video app. The first version came out in June 2024 and quickly became one of the best-known AI video tools; Kuaishou runs it in its own app at klingai.com and sells it to developers through an API.

Kling 3.0 is the current generation, announced on February 4, 2026. It makes clips of 3 to 15 seconds with sound generated alongside the picture — speech, effects and ambience — and adds multi-shot storyboards and “elements” that keep a character consistent. A faster, cheaper Kling 3.0 Turbo followed on June 17, 2026.

ToonBee AI runs Kling 3.0 through a third-party API provider, so this is an unofficial way to use Kling AI: not Kuaishou’s own service, and no Kling account needed. Here you can start from text, an image, or a first and a last frame, at 720p or 1080p and 4–15 seconds, in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Multi-shot storyboards, elements, 4K and motion control are not offered here.

How to use Kling AI online

  1. 1

Write a prompt or add an image

Describe the scene, the action, the camera and the sound, and put anything a character says in quotes. Add an image to start from it, or set a first and a last frame.

  2. 2

Pick the size, length and shape

The box starts on Kling 3.0 at 720p and the shortest length, the cheapest clip. Choose 720p or 1080p and 4–15 seconds; the credit cost updates as you go.

  3. 3

    Generate and download

Press Generate video. The clip lands in your history with its sound and downloads as an MP4 with no watermark.

Kling 3.0 vs Seedance 2.5

Seedance 2.5 runs to 30 seconds and reads reference images; Kling 3.0 stops at 15 but costs far fewer credits for a 1080p clip here. Try one prompt on each from the same box.

Kling 3.0 vs Wan 3.0

Wan 3.0 takes reference images and runs to 30 seconds. Kling 3.0 is the one to try for motion and faces in a shorter clip, and costs less at 1080p.

Here vs the Kling app

Kuaishou’s own app has every Kling feature, including multi-shot and 4K. Here you get Kling 3.0 alongside other models in one box, priced per clip with no Kling subscription.

Is Kling AI free? What does a clip cost?

Kling 3.0 is billed by the second wherever you use it. Kuaishou’s own app has offered a limited free allowance with paid plans above it; check klingai.com for its current terms.

On ToonBee AI the account is free and generating uses credits, priced per clip; the box shows the cost before you press. A 5-second clip is 250 credits at 720p and 338 at 1080p; longer clips scale by the second, so a full 15-second clip at 1080p is 1,013.

Plans start at $39 a month for 5,000 credits. Prefer not to subscribe? A one-time pack is $49 for 4,000 credits that never expire. Every plan covers commercial use and downloads with no watermark.

Good to know before you start

  • One clip runs 4–15 seconds. For something longer, ToonBee 1.0 makes an edited video from 15 seconds, and the story video generator builds narrated videos of several minutes.
  • Spoken lines come out best in English or Chinese; Kling translates other languages to English before it speaks them.
  • Sound is on by default and can be switched off, but the price stays the same.
  • Multi-shot storyboards, elements, reference images, 4K and motion control are Kling features that are not offered here.
  • Kling runs with its own content filter, which turns away some prompts and images. A refused generation gives its credits back.
